Celebrate Summer with these fantastic Summer Books for Kids. They are the perfect way to connect with your kids and welcome all of the fun filled memories that Summer brings.
While a lot of our summer days are spent outdoors playing in water, grabbing a favorite book when it’s just too unbearably hot is always a very welcomed activity. Isn’t there something so powerful about connecting with your family through story? I always love finding new books to check out at the library and possibly add to our collection. If you feel the same way, here’s some of the best Summer Books for Kids. They’re perfect to bring along for your outdoor adventures or to enjoy inside on a hot summer afternoon.

Flora and the Flamingo (This is one of our favorite books without words—so fun for imagining and creating your own storyline with your kids)
The Berenstain Bears Go to Camp
One of the best (and easiest) ways to spend quality time with your kids is to pick up a book and read aloud. In fact, books everywhere is one mess that doesn’t seem to frustrate me at all. I just love a big stack of books strewn on the living room floor. Maybe it’s because it’s visual evidence of time well spent or maybe it’s because I’m crazy. I’ll let you decide. 😉
Watermelon, the ocean, and summertime adventures are what these books are all about. I love how they celebrate the little joys of summer!
