This week we are learning about the Shield of Faith. And after reading Ephesians 6:16 the shield sure is important!

In Hebrews 11:1 we learn that, “Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Faith is a shield against doubt and lies. Faith believes God and His promises. As children of God we can lift up the shield of Faith and walk in confidence and boldness because we belong to Him and He is with us.

Today’s craft is a creative way to help remind your kids to take up the shield of faith in all circumstances so that they can extinguish the flaming darts of the evil one. Flaming arrows of doubt, worry, anxiety, fear, uncertainty, and distraction. You’ll need a few simple supplies to get started creating your very own shield of faith. Ready to get started?

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Cardboard
  • Aluminum Foil
  • Scissors
  • Paint
  • Paint Brush

Shield of Faith Craft for Kids Instructions:

Use scissors to cut out a shield from cardboard. It can be as big or small as you’d like.

Wrap the cardboard with aluminum foil.

Use paint and a paintbrush to paint the aluminum foil. Set aside to dry.

Display the finished shield in your house so you’ll be reminded to take up the shield of faith in all circumstances.
