Can you feel it? Summer is here! Cue the sunscreen, living in swimming suits all day every day, homemade popsicles for breakfast (just us?) and less hurry. I don’t know about you, but my soul is craving less rush, carefree days and more focus on family time. Isn’t the start of Summer so magical? I always find myself with a huge list of things I want to do with the girls and a fresh sense of optimism that it’s going to be the best Summer EVER, but then real life happens and I blink and it’s August.
I’m slowly learning that if I’m not intentional with my time and have an actual plan of action the days will quickly slip away. That’s why I am SO thrilled to share with you something that I’ve been dreaming up and planning the past few months—Camp Littles & Me: A Celebration of What We Love About Summer. It’s the perfect tool for some Summer Fun with Preschoolers (and can easily be modified for babies/toddlers too!)
There’s so much we LOVE about Summer. Here’s the things we’ll be celebrating!
Camp Littles and Me Themes | We LOVE…
The Farmer’s Market
The Beach
The Ocean
The Zoo
Stars & Stripes
Ice Cream
Our Backyard
Camping
Water
In the overview and supplies list packet you will find a general supplies list and then a more detailed supply list for each of the weekly themes we will be celebrating this Summer. I wanted to share this for you planners (you know who you are) so you could see all of the activities we will be including in our weekly idea sheets this Summer, but if seeing it all ahead of time stresses you out then just disregard it and you can download the weekly supplies list as we go.
Each Sunday afternoon I will release the weekly idea sheet, any instructions, and the free printables that pair with the theme right here on the blog. As I mentioned above, I will also include the supplies list that pairs with the theme so that you have everything in one organized spot. Here’s an example of what you will receive each week:
The idea behind the weekly idea sheet is just that, to give you ideas for play that you can use throughout the week. I knew when I was dreaming up Camp Littles & Me that I wanted to create something that would provide me with low prep ideas when I’m in the middle of the day, the girls are restless, and I seem to loose all sense of creativity and have NO clue what to do. Hopefully it will be useful for you too! The weekly idea sheet is not meant to be used as a set calendar, but more of as a tool to give you ideas and prompts for play. There are several ideas that include a little prep as well as others that can be done on the fly.
I wanted to share some of the supplies that we will be using each week. You probably already have most of these things at your house. Be sure to download the full supply list to see everything. I’m going to be keeping all of our basic supplies in a box (I picked this one up) so that I have easy access to it throughout the week. Plus, we are going to be traveling in the middle of the Summer and I’m hoping this will help keep everything organized while we are on the road.

That’s the real heart behind this! After all, summer is meant to be enjoyed, right?
