How to Make ‘Thankful For You’ Thanksgiving Turkey Kids Craft
Step One
Print the Turkey Craft Printable onto cardstock.
Step Two
Use Watercolors, Kwik Stix, Crayons, or markers to color the turkey body. We used our favorite watercolors to paint the turkey body.
Step Three
Next, color in the feathers, beak, and snood. Apparently the the iconic long flap of skin that hangs over the beak is called the snood. Who knew? We used Kwik Stix (AKA our new favorite thing to craft with. Totally not sponsored, just love em’!) for this part. Have you ever used them before? We absolutely adore them because they are exactly like using paint, but are not messy at all and dry SO fast. A mamas dream, right?!
Libby even joined in the fun! She’s getting to the age where she makes it very known that she will not be left out of anything.
Step Four
After coloring and making sure everything is dry to the touch, use scissors to cut around the feathers, turkey body, beak, and snood. Use a glue stick to assemble your turkey and add a couple of googly eyes to finish it off!
These turkeys are so easy to make and they would be the happiest snail mail for a grandparent, friend, or a neighbor. I know that my day would instantly be brighter if I received one of these!
