Although I’m pretty much obsessed with the spinach and avocado smoothie, the crowd favorite was without question the blueberry banana. If your family decides to make several different smoothies, I highly recommend that you use little cups (we found ours at Target) so that everyone can taste test each one. Plus, everything is just so much cuter when it’s mini.
Also, in total transparency. Your family friendly smoothie bar maaaaay end up looking like this if you’re not careful. Ooops! Just a little real life reminder that family time does not (and most likely will not) be perfect. There will be spills, messes, and bad attitudes but there will also be memories, moments of connection, and giggling about that one time your floors turned purple.
Ready to create a family friendly smoothie bar of your own? If you create a different type of smoothie that your family absolutely loves, be sure to share the recipe with me below! I hope you have a blast whipping up some tasty and refreshing smoothies with your family. Enjoy the laughter, don’t worry about the messes, & soak in the memories. Spills and all.
I love this post, Ashley! I think my favorite part is the size of the smoothies and your cute, festive straws/set-up. I’ll bet your girls just loved this. I also can totally appreciate the realness behind that final photo with the spill. That is so true to life with kids!
Thank you, Melissa! In my book mini size anything is always better. I had to show the spill because let’s be honest, that happens more often than not around here. 🙂
