Rhythms: Creating Space to Love Your Family Well (+ a FREE printable goal setting tool)

While I can hardly believe that Christmas has come and gone, my heart is filled with eager anticipation for a new year and a fresh beginning. While I know there isn’t anything magical about January 1st, I truly love how the first of the year is such a natural time to reassess and create new goals as a family. This upcoming year I’m on a mission to create better patterns for our family so that we have more time and margin to be intentional with our days and spend more undistracted time together. What I’m learning is that establishing rhythms can help you to create space to love your family well. Let’s be honest. Who doesn’t want that?

Since I’m sure I’m not alone in wanting to create intentional family time, over the next five days I’ve asked some really inspiring mamas to share their best tips and tricks for creating space and rhythms in order to spend time with your kids. My hope is that this series will inspire, encourage, and give practical tools to make family time a priority in the New Year.

To kick things off I’ve created a FREE printable that I hope you’ll use to jot down a few ideas that you want to implement. The mamas that are sharing this week are FULL of incredible wisdom. So be sure to grab a pen, download the free printable, and get ready to jot down some ideas!

I designed the printable so that you can easily put it somewhere around your house where you’ll see it often (tape it to your mirror or hang it up on your refrigerator). The larger one can be used to write down your three overarching goals and the smaller cards are meant to be used to jot down smaller mini goals for each month. The small cards have space to write 3 little ways to connect with your family. You could also use this space to write down a rhythm that you want to focus on each month. As a mama I know how overwhelming goal setting can be which is why I wanted to keep my goals doable and stick to three actionable ideas each month.

*TIP: Make a list of things that you want to do with your kids or rhythms that you would like to implement on the back of your goals sheet. That way when you’re looking for small actionable mini goals you can pull from that list.
