“Today you are You, that is truer than true.
There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”
Dr. Seuss
This month we have been celebrating the beautiful things that make every person unique and valuable as well as the amazing community we get to live in. One of my favorite ways to sneak learning into our days is by taking something that we do each and every day (like eating breakfast) and adding a new learning filled twist to it. We made a similar waffle bar last year and it was such a hit that I knew we needed to recreate it this year. Plus, eating waffles is my favorite so this was really a no brainer. Here’s how we made our Build a Face Waffle Bar.
Build a Face Waffle Bar Supplies
- Waffles (You could make your own or use frozen waffles)
- Your Favorite Toppings (We used Peanut Butter, Nutella, Vanilla Yogurt, Mini Chocolate Chips, Raspberries, Blueberries, Peaches, and Granola)
- Small Bowls
This waffle bar is so easy to put together. Hooray for simple family activities. Simply pour your ingredients into small serving bowls, toast your waffles, and serve! I love that each person can be creative with the ingredients to create a face on their waffle.
This waffle bar would be a fun activity to pair with an all about me, emotions, or my body preschool theme, a playdate, or even just because! Be sure to have each person talk about why they love their waffle face. It’s so fun to hear your little one describe the face they made. The options truly are endless and it’s so fun to see the faces that each person comes up with.
Ready to create a Build a Face Waffle Bar of your own? Grab your favorite toppings, pour them in a few bowls, and have fun being creative! I’d love to know what toppings you’ll be using for your waffle bar. Please share in the comments below!
