As a mama I’m realizing more and more the importance of instilling truth, deeply rooted values, and a heart for others in my girls. I want them to know that they are deeply loved, that all people are valuable, and that spreading kindness to others is what life is truly all about. I’m thankful that there are so many great books out there to help parents teach these things to their littles in a meaningful and engaging way. Guess How Much I Love You

This classic book is a sweet reminder of how wide, high, and far a parent’s love for their child stretches. It was one of my favorites as a kid and I love that I get to share it with my girls.

Animally

This book has been such a great addition to our bookshelf. It is a beautifully worded rhyming book that describes love through adverbs and gorgeous animal illustrations. “I love you birdily, bugily, animally. I love you so, for you’re my family.”

Wherever You Are My Love Will Find You

If you’ve never read any of Nancy Tillman’s books, you are truly missing out. This book is a sweet love letter that celebrates how special your child is and echoes the powerful truth that, “You are loved.”

When God Made You

I cannot even begin to tell you how much we LOVE this book. It honestly gives me chills every time we read it together. The words are powerful and full of incredible truth.

God’s Very Good Idea

I have been looking for a book that teaches about diversity and how every person on earth is uniquely designed and so incredibly valuable. This book is EXACTLY what I was looking for and then some. Seriously go add this book to your home library and then buy one for a friend. It’s a must read with a very important message. The truths of dignity, value, and how we are all created equal desperately need to be talked about in our homes and communities. I know that we will be reading this book over and over again!

Hooray for Hat!

This is hands down my new favorite children’s book. It just makes me so happy! I adore the bright and cheerful illustrations and the powerful message about spreading kindness. I’m asked to read this book multiple times a day.

The Rainbow Fish

This is another classic and definitely one to own. The message that true joy is found is giving and share with others is one of my favorite parts about this book.

I truly believe that each of these books is a must have for your bookshelf. These books have beautiful truth packed messages, gorgeous illustrations, and are perfect for kids of all ages!
