Summer Fun List

Celebrate· Family Time· For Families· Free Printables· Summer

Happy Monday and happy first official day of SUMMER! I don’t know about you but I’m a firm believer that summer was made for mamas. Between pool filled days, being outside as much as possible, popsicles, and long afternoon naps for the littles (& maybe mama too) summer can be such a great season. As with any season of motherhood it can also be a tough season due to the lack of structure, routine, and the sometimes seemingly long days at home with all of your littles. So knowing full well of what I don’t want our summer to look like (AKA stressed out and distracted mama) on this first day of summer I’m deciding to choose joy and to look for the small moments to make our summer one to remember. Not because it was perfect or our days were filled to the brim with all the things, but rather because we had an intentional summer soaking in the little things. Sure, I want to do lots of fun things but I also want this summer to not be a summer of doing but rather being. Being present. Being fully alive. Being engaged with my sweet toddler and our new baby girl that will be here in a few weeks. Anyone with me?!

In an attempt to make our summer more meaningful I sat down with our big two year old and tried to make a list of fun things that we could do this summer. That way when I’m in the newborn baby brain fog and can’t think of anything we can just go to our list and come up with some fun ideas. I’m planning to hang it up on our refrigerator so that I don’t forget about it and that I’m consistently reminded about my desire to make this summer more intentional.

Today I’m sharing the PDF with you so that you can also create a more intentional summer. I hope you love it. I’ve included two copies—One with our list as well as a blank copy so that you can come up with your own fun activities. I hope you have a wonderful and a fun filled summer. Cheers to living more intentionally, mamas!
